Rolls-Royce PPAP Awareness

Course overview:  

This course covers the requirements for PPAP as defined by Aerospace SABRe3. The course content follows the APQP model as defined within AS9145 explaining the 5 stages. This is further supported by referencing the additional requirements documented with SABRe3. The course overviews the requirements of the Rolls-Royce PPAP handbook covering each of the requirements and linking them back to AS9145 and SABRe3. The course encompasses Rolls-Royce Customer Specific requirements with a focus on the Production Process Run, Process Control Surveillance and Initial Manufacturing Performance Studies.

Who should attend:  

This course is designed to raise understanding and awareness of the Rolls-Royce PPAP procedure. This course raises PPAP awareness for Senior Management. It is also of benefit to those persons who will be engaged in the PPAP process and PPAP team members or those persons who will support the PPAP process. It would also be of benefit to those persons who audit APQP/PPAP.

PPAP is used when an organisation needs to evidence effective implementation of the APQP process and that the organisations product design process can design products that meet the customer and their own business specifications and that the manufacturing process has the potential to delivery good quality product at the required rate.

An effective APQP and PPAP process will ensure smoother transition for product development into production, more effective changes to existing products and processes, greater confidence in source changes and finally a quicker less troublesome customer approval process.

An understanding of the Rolls-Royce PPAP process will enable organisations to take advantage of the process model detailed in AS9145 and gain competitive advantage by having a more focused and efficient process for managing the introduction of new products, changes to existing products and process and source changes.
