Course Overview: 

This PRINCE2® course is delivered in partnership with e-Careers. As the world’s most utilised method for Project Management, PRINCE2® boasts over one million certified professionals across 150 countries worldwide. Developed by AXELOS, this classroom course offers a practical, flexible and scalable methodology to help manage projects of all sizes and types.

The PRINCE2® (6th edition) methodology consists of seven Principles, Themes and Processes. The Principles represent the 'why', the Themes represent the 'what' and the Processes represent the 'how' of project management. Together they provide a navigable path to project management success.

Who should attend: 

This PRINCE2® package includes both Foundation and Practitioner level course materials and as such, is suitable for complete project management beginners looking to progress to Practitioner level.

We recommend taking this PRINCE2® qualification if you’re looking to gain first-class project management skills and improve your employment prospects.  

Practitioners currently holding the PRINCE2® 6th Edition certificate are not required to take the updated 2017 exams but are recommended to familiarise themselves with the new course material.

Prerequisites: 

While having a basic understanding of project management would be beneficial, there are no formal prerequisites to enrol onto the Foundation course.To enrol onto the Practitioner level qualification, you will need to have passed one of the following:   

  • PRINCE2® Foundation (5th Edition or 6th Edition)   
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)®   
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®   
  • IPMA Level A®, B, C, or D

Certification: 

Upon successful completion of the exam delegates will receive a PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner qualification. This qualification is accredited by AXELOS which is a join venture between the Cabinet Office and Capita plc.

PRINCE2 Practitioner syllabus (6th Edition)

This qualification focuses on application – Learn how to take your understanding of the PRINCE2® methodology to the next level how to apply the seven PRINCE2® Principles within a project. 

Review the seven PRINCE2® processes and themes and learn how to apply and tailor them in context. 

Official PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner exams (6th Edition)

In order to receive your PRINCE2® certification you will need to take two exams, one closed-book exam and one open-book exam.

PRINCE2 Foundation Exam (6th Edition)

Purpose: To determine whether you’re able to act as an informed member of a project management team, utilising PRINCE2® methodologies.

Examination format

  • 60-minute exam duration
  • 60 questions
  • Closed book
  • 33/60 required to pass = 55% pass mark

PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam (6th Edition)

Purpose: To determine whether you’re able to apply the PRINCE2® methodologies to run and manage non-complex projects.

Examination format

  • 150-minute exam duration
  • 68 questions
  • 38/68 required to pass = 55% pass mark
  • Open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only)

Virtual Class Technical Requirements
To access a virtual class you must have the following:

  • A PC or laptop with good (1Mbps or more) internet access
  • A microphone and speaker or headset (recommended)
  • Webcam (preferably)
  • Chrome web browser
  • Ability to access Google drive (you do not need a personal account but your laptop / PC must not block access)
