This is an introductory course to cover the basics of Lean Manufacturing.
This course fully covers the syllabus and qualification requirements for PPAP Co-ordinators or CARe’s as defined by AESQ Reference Manual RM13145. The course draws from AS13100 sections B and C and follows the APQP/PPAP model as defined within AS9145 and AESQ RM13145. As well as face to face training in Birmingham, UK, we also deliver this course for different timezones throughout the year virtually, please refer to the timezone section below for the latest schedule.
This course covers the training syllabus requirements of AS13100 and AESQ Reference Manual RM13000 8D Problem Solving. The AESQ Reference Manual RM13000 mandates the use of the Eight Disciplines (8D) approach to structured problem solving to provide a repeatable structured approach irrespective of customer.
MSA is used when an understanding of measurement system variability is required. MSA studies will decompose measurement system variability into equipment, operator and part variation. It is often mandated by aerospace and other engineering primary manufacturers as a specific requirement on their suppliers to give them confidence in the measurements that are being taken and reported by the supplier.
FMEA is an analytical method to ensure potential problems have been considered, assessed for risk, and actioned as part of product and process design. It provides a record of an organisation's collective knowledge about its products and processes. The intent of the control plan is to document and provide value added controls in support of the PFMEA process. Implementation of an effective DFMEA, PFMEA and control plan form key foundation activities in support of the zero-defect goal.
This course will help auditors develop relevant skills in judgment, decision making, audit planning, audit non-conformity writing and subsequent close out related to the aerospace IAQG 9100/9110/9120 QMS standards, AS13100 and AESQ RM13005. Internal auditing and familiarity with ISO 9001 and IAQG 9100/9110/9120 would be beneficial but not a necessity.
Process control concerns the mechanisms by which the output of a specific process is maintained within a desired range to ensure the resultant characteristic meets the requirements. This course introduces Statistical Process Control (SPC) from the basics, creating charts by hand, before then using more advanced methods to monitor and improve process control.
This course will provide all delegates with an awareness of the advantages and expected benefits of using the APQP and PPAP processes from planning, product design and development through to process design, validation and on-going production.
This 5 day AS9145 Practitioner course will provide all delegates with an in-depth understanding at practitioner level of the AS9145 standard. It will provide all delegates with an in-depth understanding of the advantages and expected benefits of using the APQP and PPAP processes from planning, product design and development through to process design, validation and on-going production.
This course is designed for all organisations who are working with a customer that requires eAPQP population in order to track project deliverables.
The IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Training is a participative course is made up of a number of modules supported by group exercises and open discussion. This course is available virtually in different timezones, please refer to the timezone section below.
The IATF 16949 Management Awareness Training is an interactive course supported by group exercises and open discussion. The practical emphasis of this course provides a great opportunity for individual guidance, support and learning.
This participative course is made up of a number of modules supported by group exercises and open discussion. Delegates are evaluated through a proctored knowledge and application exam at the end of the course. The practical emphasis of this course and high tutor to delegate contact provides a unique opportunity for a substantial degree of individual guidance and training.
The Core Tools Certification Training (APQP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP) is a 5 day course covering all the core tools using a "learn by doing" teaching approach. After short teach points delegates practice the use of the tools using case studies and delegate exercises. Delegates passing the application exam at the end of the course receive certification from SMMT, the IATF approved oversight office in the UK.
APQP and Control Plan is module one of the Core Tools Certification Training programme. This module can be completed as a standalone course or as part of the full Core Tools Certification Training.
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, (FMEA), is an analytical method to ensure potential problems have been considered, assessed for risk and actioned as part of both product and process design. It provides a record of an organisations collective knowledge about products and processes. It is widely used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation.
Statistical Process Control, (SPC), is a method for gaining an understanding of the types of variation within a process and hence guide actions to either control or reduce this variation. It is used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation.
Measurement System Analysis, (MSA), is a method for gaining an understanding of the variation present in measuring systems. It is now widely used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation, when a high level of confidence is required for the measurement of product characteristics.
Production Part Approval Process, (PPAP), is a method of demonstrating a product or process is production ready. The method was developed by the North American Automotive Industry and is now widely used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation.
The AIAG/VDA Combined FMEA Awareness Training (1 day) course is designed to take delegates through the 7 Step Approach to the construction, scoring and evaluation of risk (high, medium, low). The joint publication is the collaboration between AIAG/VDA, OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The text has been completely rewritten, and the FMEA method has been revised in a few key areas.
