What is ISO 14064-3 – GHG verification statement about?

ISO 14064 discusses greenhouse gases (GHGs). ISO 14064is the third part of the multi-series on GHGs and specifies principles and requirements and also provides guidance for verifying and validating GHG statements. ISO 14064applies to organization, project, and product GHG statements.

The ISO 14060 family of standards is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of the ISO 14060 family of standards.

BS EN ISO 14064-3:2019 supersedes EN ISO 14064-3:2012BS EN ISO 14064-3:2019 includes some technical and editorial changes with respect to EN ISO 14064-3:2012.

  • A new Annex A has been added that defines requirements for verifiers to follow when undertaking engagements at a limited level of assurance
