How It Works: Earning Your APICS Credentials

1 Select Credential.

Select the APICS credential that is right for you. APICS offers a variety of certifications for different needs, so you’re sure to find one that meets your professional goals. If you’re unsure which program is right for you, compare the differences of each using our Certification Selector tool.

2 Choose Your Learning Option.

All certification prep starts with the APICS Learning Systems. We offer different study options to help you find the right study method for your schedule and learning style. Choose between Self-Study, Instructor-Led, Instructor-Supported or see if your company offers group training. You can purchase Learning System materials independently or with your exam purchase. Get significant savings when you become an ASCM member with certification upgrade.

3 Prepare for, Purchase and Pass the Exam.

On average, we recommend 100 hours of study time to pass each exam, but you may need more or less study time. Purchase and schedule your exam so you can plan accordingly. Candidates who test within three months of their studies are more likely to pass their exam.
