Preface
IATF 16949 (quality management systems – special requirements when using ISO 9001 for series production and spare part production in the automotive industry) provides a common approach for a QM system in the automotive industry supply chain. IATF 16949 can be specified in more detail with additional or supplementary customer specific requirements (CSR) for the supplier’s QM system.
Using IATF 16949 also requires knowledge and implementation of customer specific requirements in the automotive industry supply chain.
Accordingly, CSR documents must only substantiate the IATF 16949 requirements that are not specified in more detail based on their structure.
This volume can thereby be used throughout the supply chain as a result of its content structure based on ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
The long-term objective of this publication for the automotive industry supply chain is to ideally harmonize the required IATF 16949 substantiations.
Industry Forum helps major global manufacturers understand, optimise and improve both manufacturing capability and business performance. Over 250 organisations in 30 countries trust Industry Forum to deliver and maintain sustainable improvement.
