Funding and Support for SMMT members:

Industry Forum is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. SMMT has created a digital Funding and Support Guide to capture and provide members with information about current and future schemes and their availability.

The digital guide includes filters for easy identification of available international and regional funding and support schemes. Information on the eligibility, descriptions and contact details is available for each scheme.

SMMT welcomes a contribution of new schemes to the SMMT Funding and Support Guide; suggestions should be made to [email protected].

SMMT updates the available schemes regularly, but cannot guarantee the latest available information will be reflected. SMMT strongly advises members to contact the scheme provider before taking action and cannot guarantee application success.

Legal Advice Helpline

SMMT provides round the clock access to professional legal advice, free to its members and associates.

As the complexities of our legal system have increased, the cost of obtaining the necessary expert advice to bring about speedy and satisfactory solutions to worrying problems has risen beyond the budget of many businesses. It is for this reason that SMMT provide their members with professionally qualified advice at any time of the day or night. The SMMT legal advice helpline gives access to business legal advice by telephone for your organisation. Please note that it is not for individuals to obtain personal legal advice.

Comprehensive advice, information and guidance can be provided to your company on subjects such as:

SMMT has a financial arrangement with Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, who provide a legal helpline to SMMT members. SMMT pays Irwin Mitchell Solicitors for the services they provide; they are independent from SMMT and will provide SMMT members with impartial and confidential advice.

Technical Helpline

SMMT has launched a technical helpline which is available Monday to Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm. The service has been developed to support our members by offering them a competitive advantage through knowledge and expertise on a wide range of areas including:
